Organize and approve of all change requests for IT systems, without leaving Slack. This workflow collects details about the proposed change and puts it in front of a change board for review. Best of all, you have complete history of what was requested, by whom, and who approved the change — perfect for SOC2/ISO compliance.
In an IT channel in Slack, team members can begin the process of getting a change reviewed by clicking on a Slack Shortcut.
Next, the requester is automatically prompted to fill out a form, in Slack, that details the change. You can collect information about what systems are affected, when the change would take place, and what the plans are for testing and rollback.
After the form is submitted, this workflow will post an approval to a threaded message in the channel, notifying the reviewers. They'll see the details from the form and can request more information in the thread. When they're ready, they can click the Approve or Deny buttons to sign off. This step is powered by Wrangle.
Optionally, you can also have the workflow post a checklist of tasks for the person making the change. That way, everyone can track status as the change is made — in Slack. This step is powered by Wrangle.
